Streatham Hub

System: Outsulation Rail
Finish: PMRB
Texture: Sandpebble Fine
Sector: Retail/Leisure, Residential

Streatham Hub is breathing new life into Streatham’s bustling high street. The mixed-used development comprises of 250 apartments, a 60,000 sqft retail Tesco store and 540 parking spaces.

Another successful project specified by Michael Aukett Architects.

A total of 3,400m2 of Dryvit Outsulation Rail external wall insulation (EWI) system was installed. The Outsulation Rail insulated render system was fixed over SFS and cement particle board, PMRB finish in a Sandpebble Fine texture was used in the colour China White.

As the Dryvit Outsulation Rail system with its expanded polystyrene (EPS) core held the relevant BR 135 classification and LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) certification relevant for a steel frame substrate it was well placed to meet their requirements whilst delivering a scope of specification which satisfied the projects design intent in terms of thermal performance, aesthetics and cost – making it the most suitable option for the works. With the building height in excess of 18 meters it is classified by Building Control as a high rise building and therefore the chosen cladding system had to satisfy their stringent requirements for fire performance. Completed November 2013.
