Dryvit's Drysulation external wall insulation (EWI) system was installed on this Grean Deal refurbishment project. The private residence was built in the 1930's and is of solid wall construction rendered with pebble dash. 100mm of high performance Low Lambda Dryvit LL expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation was adhesively and mechanically fixed to the substrate to upgrade the energy performance of the existing structure. The Drysulation insulated render system was finished with HDP hydrophobic silicone based finish in China White to give a clean and refreshing look to the property. Pioneer Insulation were the Approved Green Deal installer on the project. 150m2 Drysulation installed. Completed 2013.

University Hospital - Coventry

The Rotunda Building forms the entrance hall to the new University Hospital, Coventry. The Roxsulation L external wall insulation (EWI) system was installed by specialist contractor ECL Contracts Limited. The main areas of the curved façade have been finished in Dryvit Lymestone finish incorporating ashlar grooves along with highlights of Dryvit TerraNeo to features at plinth and roof levels. TerraNeo was selected to match the granite floor tiles. Project completed: 2006.

Tynecastle High School - Edinburgh

Tynecastle High School has played a pivotal role delivering educational needs to the Gorgie district of Edinburgh since 1912. The original school by Architect John Alexander Carfare now forms the backdrop for the new facilities designed by Aedas. The juxtaposition of old and new schools reflects a natural progression and responsiveness to the evolving way in which modern learning and teaching styles are being delivered to local schools and communities. Tynecastle High School in Edinburgh has approximately 3,000m2 of the Outsulation insulated render system installed. Dryvit's comprehensive Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) fire approvals were instrumental in satisfying insurer requirements for the project, which allowed the cost effective expanded polystyrene (EPS) based Outsulation EWI system to be specified for use on the scheme. Completed in 2009.

AMHD - Dumfries & Galloway

The Midpark Hospital Acute Mental Health Facility is an 85 bed new build Hospital procured through the Health Facilities Scotland Framework in the grounds of the Crichton Hospital Estate. Replacing Victorian wards, this new thoroughly modern facility incorporates best practice design for Dementia and Mental Illness. The facilities include IPCU, Adult and Elderly Acute Wards, Dementia Ward and Open and Secure Rehabilitation Wards including 6 single bedroom rehab flats. The structure of the new building was constructed in timber frame by Laing O'Rourke and designed by Archial Architects. 3,000m2 of Dryvit's CBMD cement board render carrier system was installed on this project and finished with PMRB China White in a Sandpebble Fine texture. Completed 2012

Cala Homes - Glasgow Harbour

Glasgow Harbour is an integrated mix of high quality commercial, residential, retail, leisure and public space. It sits on a 120 acre (47 ha) site which was, until 2004, mostly redundant shipyard and dockland on the north bank of the River Clyde. The re-development of Glasgow Harbour has a total value of over £500 million. Cala Homes is one of a number of house builders that have developed housing on the site. Its 270 unit development consists of riverside apartments and penthouses designed by leading architect RMJM (Scotland). Laing O’Rourke were the main contractor on the scheme and their specialist post tensioned concrete slab construction technique was used for the concrete frame. Over 5,000m2 of Dryvit's Outsulation Rail and Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) systems were used on lightweight steel framed and solid substrates to meet building control and NHBC requirements. Completed 2004.
